Medieval town bases

Something I actually did a couple of weeks ago but didn’t update on the blog. These are my new medieval bases 30mm with lip. I revamped this set when I did the Laboaratory bases. I thought it needed a bit of a rethink. I just tweaked a few, added a couple of new designs and generally tried to sharpen the details.

Un petit retouchage sur un set que j’avais fais il y a quelques mois auparavant. Je l’avais retravaillé au même moment que le set des socles « Laboratoires » mais n’avais pas eu le temps de le mettre sur le blog. J’ai juste retouché quelques détails, ajouté quelques nouveautés et dans l’ensemble essayait de rendre le tout plus propre et net.

Laboratory Bases

I have been selling these for a while now but a customer asked me different designs and sizes so I took that opportunity to revamp the whole set. I’m pleased enough with the results: the woods are much better, the rocks are a lot crispier and overall it’s all better detailed. I also tried to make them as flat as possible, making them much better to display miniatures which is ultimately what bases are for. I’ll now be selling them in 2 sets with 30mm, 40mm and 50mm.
I’m currently setting up a website so I think I’ll also sell them individually. For now it’s all on EBay but feel free to contact me through the blog if you don’t do EBay or if you want different combinations of designs. Links following or the little widget on the right:

J’avais ces socles en vente depuis quelques mois mais un client m’a demandé des designs et des tailles différentes donc j’ai décidé d’en profiter pour refaire le set. Je suis assez satisfait du résultat : les planchers sont bien mieux, les pierres plus tranchantes et dans l’ensemble c’est bien mieux détaillé. J’ai aussi essayé de les faire aussi plat que possible, c’est bien mieux pour exposer des figurines ce qui est le but des socles quand même.
Je vais les vendre en 2 sets avec des tailles différentes 30mm, 40mm et 50mm. Je suis en train de monter un site web et quand celui-ci sera en place je pense que je les vendrais individuellement aussi. Gaming Board for Sale

Gutted to be selling this but I really need to free up some space before moving house. This board was created to play with Malifaux but would probably suit any other skirmish game. It’s overall in excellent condition, no dust as it’s covered at all times, smoke free house. Cats are well behaved and regularly brushed.


All hand crafted and painted by myself.

The water effect is not the best you’ll ever see but it does work. I had some issues with cracks on the edges of the river but I fixed most of them. It could still be improved with putty and paint but I didn’t bother as it does look fine for my standards.

So what do you get?

Dimensions: 90x120 cm (35x47 inches), thickness is 9cm (3, 5 inches).

4 Old West houses (which are movable and could be used on another board) and a water tank (movable as well).

Everything else you can see on the pictures is fixed to the board.

Miniatures from Wyrd are obviously not included.

Je ne vais pas traduire ce post en Français vu que cela ne va intéresser que des gens du Sud de l’Angleterre. Je vends la table que j’avais fait pour jouer à Malifaux. Un peu à contre cœur mais j’ai vraiment besoin de libérer de la place avant de changer d’adresse. Bon, si quelqu’un veut venir de la France la récupérer, je lui vends hein^^. J’ai mis une description technique en Anglais mais les photos parlent pour elles-mêmes.

Furnishing the Mordheiming

A quick update about some stuff I’ve done last week. I took those pictures to use them for selling on EBay so I thought I might as well put them on the blog. It’s a bit of a mixed bag of things I’ve sculpted or borrowed and then tweaked.
For the table I used a technique from Anakron to create wood effect and I’ve to say I find it quite effective. This is all to furnish those Mordheim buildings I’m working on.

Un petit message rapide à propos de quelques éléments de terrains que j’ai fait la semaine dernière. J’ai pris ces photos pour pouvoir les vendre sur EBay donc je me suis dis autant les mettre sur le blog. C’est un mélange de choses que j’ai sculpté ou empruntées puis retravaillées.
Pour la table, j’ai utilisé une technique d’Anakron pour faire des effets de bois que je trouve extrêmement efficace. Je fais tout ca bien sur pour meubler mes bâtiments Mordheim.

EBay listing frenzy

I’ve just been listing some more items; please feel free to have a look. I’m not planning on getting rich with those, I’m just doing this to try to finance more mould making for the items I will be sculpting. It’s great fun playing with RTV Silicone but it’s damn expensive (I know I’m complaining again). More later…



Je viens juste de rajouter quelques pièces sur EBay, vous pouvez aller jeter un coup d’œil. Je ne vais pas m’enrichir avec ca mais j’espère que ca m’aidera à financer un petit peu la fabrication de moules. Travailler avec le Silicone RTV est très agréable mais ca coute cher malheureusement (je sais je me plains encore…). A bientôt.

Selling bases

I’ve just put up some bases for sale on EBay. I do find the insertions fees expensive considering the prices of the items but hey...I guess it’ll soon turn out to be cheaper to turn my account into an EBay shop.

Anyway, you’re all welcome to have a look at it by using the widget on the right (I swear I have nothing to do with the shoes)!!!


Je viens juste de mettre des socles en vente sur EBay. Je trouve les prix d’insertion assez élevés surtout vu les prix des objets mais bon…je pense que ca va devenir plus rentable de changer mon compte perso en magasin. Bref, vous pouvez aller jeter un œil dessus si ca vous intéresse (j’ai rien a voir avec les chaussures)!!!
