Finally got it done this week end. A terrific mini with an insane amount of details, it was a real pleasure to paint this one.
I’m still working on my photographic skills though as the pictures give it a slight brighter look than what it is in reality. I do like the fantasy bright look, that pretty much how I paint everything but some areas are not as highlighted as it shows.

J’ai terminé la bête ce week end. Une super figurine avec une quantité de détails incroyables, ce fut un réel plaisir de la peindre. En revanche, je travaille toujours sur mes qualités de photographes^^. Les photos lui donnent un aspect plus brillant/éclairci qu’elle n’est en réalité. J’aime bien le style fantaisie presque cartoonesque, c’est plus ou moins comme ca que je peints toutes mes figurines mais certaines teintes sont plus sombres que ce qu’elles ne paraissent sur la photo.

Bref, j’espère que ca vous plaira.

I was taking pictures of some other stuff so I thought I might as well take these ones as I started a WIP thread. I made some good progress on it today. I’ve been mainly working on the Taurus. I split the wings and the body as it would be too large and too awkward to handle together. I have to say the sculpting on the whole thing is amazing. The amount of textures and details are incredible, even more details than you can see on the selling website, I’m really impressed.

It does mean lots of work though…


Je prenais beaucoup de photos cet après midi donc j’en ai profité pour prendre celles-ci vu que j’avais commencé un post dessus. J’ai bien avancé dessus. J’ai principalement travaillé sur le Taurus. J’ai séparé les ailes et le corps car cela aurait été trop délicat à peindre en une seule pièce. Je dois dire que je suis super impressionné par le travail de sculpture. Il y a des tonnes de détails et de textures, c’est assez incroyable, même des détails que l’on ne voit pas sur les photos de leur site.

Par contre ca veut aussi dire beaucoup de boulot…

This is the next big piece I’m working on. I’m not even at the WIP stage yet but I thought I would do an “Open the box” post as it might useful to people who are interested in this piece. First of all, it’s big…Well, the Taurus is big. I’ve put a mini in comparison next to the body of the Taurus and it looks like a dwarf. Ok, it’s a dwarf but you get what I mean. The base also is a 60x100 which is the biggest base I’ve got or ever got.
I was quite worried about the quality of casting as I’ve just finished some Citadel Finecast but I can’t really complain on this one except for the chaos dwarf which is not the best cast you’ll ever see. His beard is a bit messed up by bubbles of resin and he’s got a massive one on one of his eye which is going to do some damages when I remove it I’m sure. Some of the metal bits for the Taurus as well are bent which is a bit of a pain but easily fixed.
You can see all the bits on the two pictures and I’ve included a picture from Forgeworld website to show what the whole piece is. Next, I’m going to clean all of that and start work on a base.




La prochaine pièce sur laquelle je vais travailler. Je n’en suis même pas au stade du « Travail en cours » mais je me suis dis que je montrerais comme la boite arrive si il y a des gens intéressés par la pièce. D’abord, c’est énorme…Le taureau surtout. J’ai mis une figurine à cote en comparaison et on dirait un nain. Ok, c’est un nain mais vous voyez ce que je veux dire. Le socle aussi est un 60x100 qui est la plus grosse taille qui me soit passé entre les mains.

J’étais assez inquiet par rapport à la qualité du tirage surtout ayant passé pas mal d’heures sur du Citadel Finecast mais je n’ai rien de méchant à dire sur celui la. A part le nain du chaos dont la barbe a quelques bulles de résine et une très grosse sur son œil droit qui va faire du dégât quand je vais l’enlever. Certaines des petites pièces aussi sont un peu pliées mais c’est réparable facilement.
