It's all in the title really. I'm taking a break from painting Zombicide as I'm starting Conan.

Zombicide Black Plague Heroes

The heroes from the core box, I tried to follow original artwork. It was a very quick job, really like the dwarf. I've got so much to do....
Ce sont les héros de la boite de base. J'ai fais un taff très rapide, trop de trucs a faire en ce moment, le nain est chouette...

Zombicide Survivors

I’ve been struggling with finding time to paint in August but still managed to finish a couple of things. One of them being the survivors for Zombicide which were on the table for quite a bit. I followed the artwork on the cards but it was essentially a quick job. It does mean that my game is playable now as I have a good amount of zombies too which is great. That took long and is still a wip as I’m painting the extensions too so the obligatory zombie painting thread will be back soon...

Le mois d’aout a été compliqué pour trouver du temps pour peindre. J’ai quand même reussi à finir 2-3 bricoles. Les survivants de Zombicide étaient sur la table depuis belle lurette et les voilà finis. J’ai suivi les illustrations du jeu pour la peinture mais c’était essentiellement une peinture mega-rapide. Cela veut dire que mon jeu est enfin jouable… Ne vous inquiétez pas, la boîte de zombies est toujours pleine…

The Obligatory Zombie Painting (5)

A super quick update and another zombie post. I’ve been struggling with finding time to paint but still manage a bit. The zombie box is slowly going down. Not a lot to say about them really, Zombicide stuff painted quickly tabletop standard. I’m going to start painting the heroes soon as the amount of zombies is starting to look satisfying.

Un poste rapide et une autre photo de zombies... J’ai eu du mal à trouver le temps de peindre ces derniers jours mais j’arrive encore à avancer sur le front “zombie”. La boîte s’allege petite à petit. Pas grand-chose à dire à leur sujet, du Zombicide peint rapidos niveau « tabletop ». Je vais bientôt commencer les héros vu que le nombre de zombie commence à être satisfaisant.

A super quick post to prove that I'm making some progress on my Zombie painting. Again, it's a mixed bag of various zombie games and extensions with 1 conversion (the fattie). These are a actually the last zombies I painted as I've got a lot of gaming stuff to paint for other people. But there will be more, don't worry^^.

Traduction rapide de ce post méga-rapide…Voici les derniers zombies que j’ai peint, je suis très occupé avec  5-6 autres commandes donc je vais les garder au chaud pendant quelques semaines, le temps que j’élague ces boites…

The Obligatory Zombie Painting (3)

Here’s the latest wave of zombies. These ones are all from Zombicide and include some toxic ones. I think the fat female is my favourite model so far. The picture doesn’t do it justice but it’s a pretty nice one. I’ll try to get better shots of her when I do another one. Not much to add as they’re pretty standard to what I want them to look like and I don’t have lots of time to spend on them.

Next some “Raging Heroes” monstrosities…

La dernière fournée de zombies…Ce sont tous des “Zombicide” et il y a même quelques toxiques. Je trouve la grosse femelle zombie vraiment super. La photo d’elle ne lui fait pas vraiment justice mais je crois que c’est ma figurine préférée pour l’instant. J’essaierais de prendre de meilleure photos quand j’en peindrais d’autres. Pas grand-chose à rajouter, ils sont peints au niveau que je souhaite vu le temps que je peux leur passer dessus.

More Zombie Stuff

Here is another small wave of Zombies. This one includes a mix of fatties/contaminated/running ones. I took a picture of the Zombie box in an attempt to motivate myself. The box contains all the zombies from Zombicide season 1 and 2 + the Toxic mall. It’s quite a lot of plastic to go through. I’m trying to paint 4/week so that’ll take a while but I should have decent numbers pretty soon, enough to play at least. Although I still have to do the heroes…

Here’s a video I wanted to mention a while ago. It’s pretty thorough and is definitely a way to do it quickly. I’m not a fan of dips but if you’re going down that road that’s how you should do it. I quite like the idea of the governor treatment too.

Et une vague de plus de zombies…Celle-ci comprends une sélection de gros/contamines/coureurs. J’ai pris une photo de ma boite de zombies pour essayer de me motiver. La boite contient tous les pièces de Zombicide saison 1 et 2 plus l’extension « Toxic City Mall ». Ca fait beaucoup de plastic vu comme ca. J’essaie d’en faire 4 par semaine donc ca va prendre du temps. Par contre je devrais avoir un group jouable dans pas trop longtemps. Quoiqu’il y a encore les héros a faire…

Aussi voici une vidéo que je voulais présenter il ya quelques semaines. C’est très complet et plein d’astuces. Je ne suis pas fan des « dips » mais si vous allez les utiliser, c’est comme ca qu’il faut le faire.

Here we go for a second wave of zombies. These ones are from Zombicide (season 1) and picture includes 2 runners. The picture is pretty awful as they do look a bit better in the flesh. They were a bit better to paint than the previous ones from “Last Night on Earth” but not a lot in it. I’m working my way through a box full of plastic so not a lot to say about them. I’ll do more interesting group shots when I start to have interesting numbers. A lot more to come…

Et une deuxième vague de zombies ! Ceux-ci viennent de la boite Zombicide (saison 1) avec deux « runners ». La photo est plutôt horrible car ils ont meilleure allure en vrai. Ils étaient un peu plus sympa à peindre que ceux de « Last Night on Earth » mais guère plus. La boite de zombies déborde et j’attaque a peine donc il va y en avoir beaucoup à venir….

As it turns out, I’ve got a couple of zombie games and no painted Zombies so I thought it was about time to do something about it. It’s mainly for “Last Night on Earth” and “Zombicide”. I reckon I’ll need about 50 zombies for these 2 games with some “runners” and “Fatties” for “Zombicide”. The thing that annoys me particularly about these 2 games is the lack of variety (48 zombies models for 6 poses, seriously for that price). I know “Zombicide” has been an incredible success on Kickstarter but I’m really not impressed with the quality of models. They’re a bit more dynamic than the ones from “Last Night on Earth” but that’s it really. Overall, it’s poor quality plastic and again 48 models for 6 poses….Rant over.

I’ll probably have to get some more and do lots of conversions as I don’t like having the same models in 28mm gaming. I’m rebasing everything on 25mm bases that‘ll suit both games. It’s quite enjoyable theme to paint, rough textures, lots of blood and dirt…Here are the first 4, there will be more!

Il se trouve que je possède 2 jeux de zombies et pas un seul zombie de peint! J’ai “Last Night on Earth” et “Zombicide”. Je pense qu’il me faudra une cinquantaine de zombies avec quelques  « fatties » et des « Runners ». Ce qui m’énerve profondément est le fait que Zombicide est fourni avec 48 modèles en 6 poses seulement, pour ce prix ! Je sais qu’ils ont eu un succès phénoménal sur Kickstarter mais franchement je ne suis pas impressionné du tout par la qualité. Ils sont un peu plus dynamiques que ceux de “Last Night on Earth” mais sinon c’est la même qualité très moyenne de plastic mou. Bref, rallage terminé…

Je devrais certainement faire pas mal de conversions et acheter d’autres modèles car je déteste les figurines identiques en 28mm. Je re-socle le tout sur du 25mm qui devrait fonctionner avec les 2 jeux. Sinon, c’est agréable a peindre comme thème…du sang, de la poussière…Voici les 4 premiers, il y en aura d’autres.
