Super Dungeon Explore: Fully Painted (again)

Here’s another set of Super Dungeon Explore I did before Christmas. As requested, I kept the “classis colours” of the original artwork. This is a really fun series of models although there’s some crazy preparation work with assembly and cleaning those terrible mould lines. This is the third set I’ve done, I wouldn’t mind doing the models from the expansion, just for a change. However, I’m going to start painting Arcadia Quest soon which I’m really excited about.

Voilà le dernier set de Super Dungeon Explore que j’ai fait avant les vacances de Noël. Le client m’avait demandé de garder les couleurs « classique » de la boîte de base. C’est une très bonne série de figurines même si les lignes de moules et l’assemblage sont une vraie galère. C’est le troisième set que j’ai fait, j’aimerais bien peindre les figurines de l’extension, juste pour changer ... Par contre, je vais bientôt commencer les figurines pour Arcadia Quest, je suis impatient.

Super Dungeon Explore: Fully painted

Done! I’ll be sad to see them go as I still haven’t finished my own copy of the game. Overall a great set of miniatures and a real pleasure to paint. I already mentioned the bad mould lines which made the start a bit tedious but it’s worth it in the end. I really did not manage to get very good pictures; particularly the group ones but you get an idea of the mass effect. Anyway, I can move onto something else now…

 

Fini ! Ca me fera de la peine de les voir partir surtout parce que je n’ai pas fini de faire mon set. Dans l’ensemble un super groupe de figs qui fut un vrai régal à peindre. J’ai déjà bien râlé sur le temps de préparation qui m’avait mis de mauvaise humeur mais ca valait le coup. Je n’ai pas réussi à prendre de très belles photos, surtout celles de groupe, dommage mais on peut se rendre compte de l’effet de masse. Bref, je peux passer à autre chose…

Super Dungeon Explore: a few heroes + chests

The project is nearly finished as I’m doing the last few heroes left. They’re the best models in the box so I’m not rushing anything. I think I’ll have a fully painted set within 5 days with hopefully a happy customer. I’ve pretty much followed the colours from the cards of the game for these ones as requested. It’s kind of difficult because the art work in the game is of the highest order. Doing my best anyway, next update with a final group shot! 

Le projet est bientôt fini, je peaufine les derniers héros. Ce sont les plus jolies figurines de la boite sans aucun doute donc je prends mon temps. Je pense que le set sera fini dans la semaine avec je l’espère un client satisfait. J’ai essayé de suivre les couleurs des cartes pour la peinture. Ca a été assez difficile vu la qualité du travail graphique dans la boite. Je fais de mon mieux, a suivre la photo de groupe !

Super Dungeon Explore: The Bad

I’ve just finished the dragons, wyrmlings, whelps…family thing. So that’s the end of the bad guys. I didn’t manage to get a really good picture but at least you get an impression of the group. Not much to add to what’s been said on individual minis, a pretty good group of badass people! Now onto the heroes…

Je viens juste de finir toute la série de dragons, dragonnets et autres cracheur de feu…Ca conclut donc le groupe des « méchants ». Je n’ai pas réussi à prendre une bonne photo mais au moins on peut se rendre compte de l’impact du groupe. Pas grand-chose à rajouter si ce n’est qu’il s’agit d’une belle série de minis. A suivre, les héros…

Super Dungeon Explore: Rex and Rex

A quick update on the Super Dungeon Explore painting…I finished the last 2 kobolds and it wasn’t the smallest minis of the lot. These 2 mini-bosses are seriously big models; I should have taken a picture next to a regular 28mm mini to show that. I will take shots of the baddies once they’re all done so it’ll have to wait for a bit. I’m now starting on the various dragons/wyrmlings things; they’ll be next up…

Une petite mise à jour rapide sur la peinture du jeu Super Dungeon…J’ai fini les 2 derniers Kobolds et autant dire que ce n’était pas les plus petites figurines de la boite. Ces 2 mini-boss sont sérieusement énormes ; j’aurais du prendre des photos avec une figurine de base à cote pour vous montrer. Je ferais des photos de groupe plu tard une fois que les « forces du mal » seront finies. Je commence les dragons/dragonnets, a suivre…

Super Dungeon Explore: Flingers

Here it is for the last group of Kobolds: four “Flingers”. I’ll do group shots a bit later, probably including the 2 mini-boss. They’re pretty cute minis and the whole group is pretty cool. Next up, Rex and Rex, the 2 mini-boss previously mentioned.
