Freebooter's Fate Pirate Goblins

These are the best goblins...ever. No arguing. From left to right, let me introduce you: Yogo Yogo, Moby Dugg, Gront, Cucaracha, Momma Cebada and Velero. I've got most of them I think so there will be a lot more coming. Things are pretty slow at the moment as I'm struggling with time to paint. I also do not have a great set up for taking pictures at the momentwhich means I've not been able to take pictures of the recent scenery stuff I did...but I will eventually.

J'ai la plupart des figurines je crois dans cette gamme donc il y en a d’autres a venir. Les choses avancent doucement en ce moment, j'ai du mal a trouver du temps pour peindre. Aussi, je n'ai pas un bon système pour prendre des photos en ce moment mais ça viendra, j'ai pas mal de décors a montrer.  

Arcadia Quest heroes

My last post was a month old. It's been a very busy time as we've been moving house. I managed a bit of painting, mostly scenery and finished the models from the base game for Arcadia Quest. I've been regularly posting on twitter, mostly WIP and random stuff I'm doing.

Coming back to Arcadia Quest, I love these models. I've got the first expansion to do as well and there'll be a Kick starter campaign soon I think. You either like or don't like this style of miniatures, I know a few gamers who really dislike them.

I'm also working on some Freebooter stuff and Age of Sigmar of course but that's for another update…

Mon dernier post remontait a plus d'un mois. J'ai été très occupé par notre déménagement et les vacances. J'ai quand même réussi a peindre un peu et ai fini les figurines d'Arcadia Quest. Je poste régulièrement sur Twitter, les travaux en cours et des trucs un peu vrac.

Pour en revenir a Arcadia Quest, j'adore ces modèles. J'aurais aussi la première extension a faire et il y a un Kickstarter a venir très bientôt. Je crois qu'on aime ou on déteste ce style, je connais pas mal de joueurs qui trouvent ces figurines insupportables.

Je travaille aussi sur du Freebooter et Age of Sigmar of course...

Reaper Mixed models

One of the latest commissions was this lovely group of models from Reaper Miniatures. There's clearly an Arabian nights feel, hope this will see some nice role-play action. I've not done a lot of models from Reaper but always enjoyed their stuff, very iconic, always metal.

Une de mes dernières commandes était ce groupe de figurines de chez Reaper Miniatures. Le thème des mille et une nuit est vraiment chouette, j'espère que ça servira pour de belles soirées RP. Je n'ai pas fait beaucoup de figurines Reaper mais le peu que j'ai faits m'a toujours beaucoup plus, très iconique et toujours métal.

Merchant's Shop

So that will be my entry for July as I'm still planning to do one “large” bit of scenery per month. It's another stunning piece from Tabletop World. I've got to say it's a real joy to paint their pieces, they're crisp, detailed and fir beautifully. I didn't not take any picture of the inside but it's painted and looking great. The small stall pieces are fantastic too, really well sculpted. Once again, my pictures suck but until I do something about it that won't change…

Next month, probably some GW for a change….OMG I'm tempted by Age of Sigmar !!!

Voilà ma participation “scénique” pour le mois de juillet, c'est une autre très belle pièce de chez Tabletop World. Je dois bien reconnaitre que je me régale à peindre leurs figurines. Les détails sont aussi précis que foisonnants. Je n'ai pas pris de photo de l'intérieur cette fois-ci mais je l'ai faits comme la précédente. Les petites pièces tout autour sont géniales aussi. Mes photos sont moisies comme d'habitude mais tant que je ne ferais rien pour améliorer ça, ça ne risque pas de changer.

Le mois prochain, probablement du GW pour changer…Ouuaahh la boîte de l'Age de Sigmar me fait des clins d'oeil….

Valiant Miniatures Samurais

Here are some models from a company I didn’t know. It was a nice surprise as the figurines are quite good and it’s an interesting mix in that period including ghoul and undead. They’re metal and very nicely detailed, 28mm, would go very well with some of Perry’s stuff in my opinion. I did a different pattern for each of them as requested. It was nice to work on metal for a change.

Voilà les figurines d’une compagnie que je ne connaissais pas. Ce fut une agréable surprise car les modèles sont très bons et c’est un bon mélange dans cette période avec un mort-vivant et une ghoule. C’est du métal, très bien detaillé, 28 mm et ça irait très bien avec du Perry à mon avis. J’ai faits un schéma different pour chacun vu que c’est ce que l’on me demandait. Ça changeait de bosser sur du métal pour une fois.

Tabletop World Townhouse

It’s about time I post about scenery stuff as this Blog was initially created to help with promoting my own scenery stuff. I decided to do more buildings, at least once a month. Why? Because I love scenery, it’s always been what excites me the most about tabletop gaming. So this is the first building I did in ages and it’s a wonderful model from tabletop World. There will be a lot more from them to come and also from GW. In my mind, these 2 companies have some of the best scenery stuff out there. I’m very interest in a running Kickstarter as I don’t have that kind of dungeon stuff, always missed out on Dwarven Forge stuff + they’re crazy expensive. Have a look at it it’s looking good.

Anyway, pictures suck but i really liked doing it. I also did this inside as it is lovely and might be useful later one for some skirmish or RP stuff. Unbelievably well sculpted inside too.

Il était temps que je poste quelque chose au sujet des décors. Ce blog avait été crée au départ pour promouvoir mes propres produits, même si les choses ont pas mal changés, je vais essayer de peindre un truc par moi. Pourquoi ? Parce que les décors ont toujours été ce qui m’excitent le plus dans les jeux de figurines. Le modele « du mois » est de chez tabletop. Ce sera essentiellement eux et GW qui à mon avis ont les plus belles pièces en circulation. Il y a aussi un Kickstarter qui m’interesse en ce moment vu que je n’ai pas ce genre de système. Je n’ai jamais pu m’acheter du Dwarven Forge vu les prix mais j’aimerais bien avoir ce genre de set up.

Bref, les photos sont merdiques comme d’hab mais je me suis régalé. J’ai aussi fait l’intérieur, vu le niveau de sculpture ça serait dommage puis ça peut se montrer utile plus tard dans un contexte RP ou skirmish.

Firesprays

Here’s another wave of X-wing models. They’re much bigger than the previous ones but as nicely sculpted. I was asked to do one with a Kath Scarlet pattern (the red one) and I got some inspiration online for the other one. I really enjoyed these 2, really fun to re-paint.

Une autre minivague de figurines X-Wing. Ils sont bien plus gros que les précédents mais toujours la même qualité. J’ai faits un schéma Kath Scarlett (le rouge) et ai pris une inspiration d’internet pour l’autre. Vraiment super fun de repeindre.
