Mordheiming: University base

Finally making a move on the building after having finished the minaret that will sit on top of its tower. Having sketched the whole thing, it has made things quicker when it comes to measurements and getting started. It’s so far one piece of Styrofoam that’s been carved and sculpted with a pencil and cutter.
It’s kind of difficult to explain but it’s quite tricky to make very smooth cuts and takes practice to know what kind of sharpness you need on your pencil. The piece needs some rework on areas and putty/filling job but I still base coated it to get an idea of how the paint is going to look. I’ve had problems in the past with paint foam resulting in funny textures and crackled paint. So far that looks ok^^.
I think I’ll get the base painted before fixing the walls which are next on my list. More to follow.

A suivre...
