Lord of the Rings - Journeys in Middle-Earth. That's all the models done. It was a real drag to paint if I'm honest, really uninspiring models in a setting I love.I could pimp it but don't have time for this and I'm sure I'll like the game as it's based on Mansions of Madness which is a top game. They could have done so much better with these and I feel this is really below nowadays standards. The one positive I guess is that they're very easily recognizable and obvious. The goblin is really looking like a goblin etc....
Anyway, moving onto more exciting stuff :) which won't be hard....

Hadn't posted in a while...Not that I've not been painting anything but very busy with some stuff I can't really show for now. I made a start on the new "Lord of The Rings" BG from FFG. Thought I'd start with a dwarf :) And some baddies. Can't say I'm impressed with models as FFG is probably 15 years behind when it comes to models. Anyway, fairly low count amounts to do and the game is going ti be great.

Necrosian Temple from Dark Fantastic Mills...First time I'm painting 3D printed pieces and I feel this is only the beginning. I really need to work out a better way to get rid of printing lines as they are everywhere. This bundle is extremely modular and the blocks are quite large...It could be use in many settings.

I've been mostly finishing a very large commission this week but found time to do a couple of scenery bits. It's a bit of a mix of old and new. The Baleful Gate is now a pretty old kit, I think it's one they'll probably carry on for a while. I also tried one of the latest: Gloomspite Gitz: Bad Moon Loonshrine. I don't know how I feel about it. I like it but that's a lot of mushrooms. I think I might get a couple of kits and bash them, the mushrooms will always be handy for scenery stuff and the large rock moon would do a very nice bit on its own. Anyway, all available in the shop.

I've been looking for a while at scenery kits to create ponds from and I think GW latest releases does the trick The old craters they used to produce were pretty good but not available anymore. Last week Skaven Gnawhole kit provides a good base. They really quick to put together if you don't use all the woody bits. I might try to do them without the spiral effect in the water next time. I've also painted regular Skaven Gnawholes. All available in the shop.

Heroes for Claustrophobia in speedy mode again. Nice models for Board Game quality although I wished they had been a bit crisper. Some details are really muddled which is fine on monsters but less forgiving on special characters. That's nit picking though I wasn't expecting GW quality. There is also a picture of some monsters I did earlier.

Lots of scenery on the bench right now. I've tried one of the most recent GW release: Flesh-Eater Courts Charnel Throne. Pretty good kit. can work really well as scattered terrain too. Available for purchase here.

A couple of "classics" are back in stock: the Cottage and the Windmill. I managed to squeeze them in between jobs. Both are from Tabletop World and are excellent pieces. This is the 4th windmill I do, not bored of it yet, great model...Available in the shop.

I only managed to get a couple of scenery pieces in last few weeks as I'm so busy painting another project. The Mausoleum is a new piece for me from tabletop World. It's much nicer than GW ones but the price is way higher. I also did another well and an altar for DD's fans. All available in the shop.
