Mousquetaires du Roy

Here is the latest paint job. These are the models from the Board Game “Mousquetaires du Roy”. I have to say I was surprised with the quality of the figurines. This is not a miniature game adn the models are very good. This is on the same level of “Zombicide” or “Dungeon Twister” that I painted recently. This is the first time that I paint anything on that period and it was really enjoyable. The game itself is pretty good and you can find some more info’s here.

Voici la dernière peinture et il s'agit des figurines du jeu “Mousquetaire du Roi”. Pour être honnête, je ne m’attendais pas à des figurines de cette qualité. C’est largement du niveau de « Zombicide » ou de « Dungeon Twister » que j’ai faits récemment. C’est aussi la première fois que je peins des modèles sur cette période et ce fut très agréable. The Obligatory Zombie Painting (5)

A super quick update and another zombie post. I’ve been struggling with finding time to paint but still manage a bit. The zombie box is slowly going down. Not a lot to say about them really, Zombicide stuff painted quickly tabletop standard. I’m going to start painting the heroes soon as the amount of zombies is starting to look satisfying.

Un poste rapide et une autre photo de zombies... J’ai eu du mal à trouver le temps de peindre ces derniers jours mais j’arrive encore à avancer sur le front “zombie”. La boîte s’allege petite à petit. Pas grand-chose à dire à leur sujet, du Zombicide peint rapidos niveau « tabletop ». Je vais bientôt commencer les héros vu que le nombre de zombie commence à être satisfaisant.

Blue Moon Legends Dragons

These are the dragons you can find in the box of the game “BlueMoon Legends”. I believe they were used in some expansions for “Descent” but don’t quote me on this. They are pretty standard quality for FFG, nice models with not too much work needed. I did a pretty quick job as this is really for gaming as soon as.

Ce sont les 3 dragons que vous pouvez trouver dans la boîte de “Blue Moon Legends”. Je crois qu’ils ont déjà été utilisee dans des expansions pour « Descent » mais j’en suis pas sûr. Les figurines sont de qualité « typique » FFG, plastic mou mais pas trop de travail sur celles-ci. J’ai faits un boulot rapide vu que c’est pour jouer tout de suite.

Isla Dorada

These are the models found inside the box of the “Isla Dorada” game. They really were begging to be painted. The models are quite large and chunky with a very cartoonish feel. I’ve not painted a lot of stuff like that so I really enjoyed it. I tried to follow the artwork on the cards, for the yeti and dragon, no card for the third model.

Ce sont les figurines que l’on peut trouver dans la boîte du jeu “Isla Doarada”. Ils m’ont vraiment donné envie de les peindre. Les modèles sont assez larges avec un côté cartoony. Je n’ai pas fait beaucoup de peinture dans ce genre donc c’était un plaisir. J’ai à peu pres suivi les schémas de peinture des cartes pour le yeti et le dragon, il n’y a pas de carte pour la 3e pièce qui représente les joueurs.

Last Night on Earth

Having cleared a lot of the commission on work, i find myself with some time to do some of my stuff. There are still lots of zombies to do and heroes. On display here, you’ve got the heroes from “Last Night on Earth”. I think I’ve got enough zombies painted to play this game which I’m looking forward to. On these models, not a lot to say really. They’re nice enough, on par with “Zombicide” stuff. It’s a nice mixed group of “classic” heroes B movie type. I took the picture on a “Zombicide” tile which are nicer than the “Last Night on Earth” ones and have a more photogenic matt finish.

J’ai pas mal élagué la grosse quantité de commandes que j’avais donc j’en profite pour retourner un peu à mes zombies. Sur la photo, vous pouvez voir le groupe de héros de la boîte « Last Night on Earth ». Je dois avoir assez de zombies finit pour pouvoir jouer à ce jeu donc je suis impatient de l’essayer. Sur ces figurines, pas grand-chose à rajouter, elles sont decentes et du même niveau que celles de « Zombicide ». Je trouve le groupe classique genre cinéma de série B. J’ai pris la photo sur une tuile de « Zombicide » par contre car elles sont plus jolies et sont bien mates.

Wooden Sticks for Fungi (aka Morels)

A mega quick post about something I did today. I made some wooden sticks for the card game “Fungi”. The original deluxe edition included them and they’ve now been replaced by cards. The “wooden stick” card does not come into your hand at any point so it makes sense to have tokens/bits instead. They’re made from golf tees which is how the originals were made. They really add something to the game I think, make it more tactile.

I’ve got some bits left if some people are interested and you are more than invited to check the game, it’s really good.

Un poste-rapide sur un petit boulot que je viens de finir. Ce sont des bouts de bois pour le jeu "Fungi". Ils étaient inclus dans la version deluxe originale mais ont été remplacés par des cartes. A aucun moment dans le jeu ces cartes finissent dans votre main donc je trouve logique d'avoir des pièces plutôt que des cartes. Je les ai sculpté à partir de pièces pour le golf, idée originale des créateurs du jeu. Je trouve que cela rajoute un aspect tactile au jeu bien sympa. Il m'en reste si des gens sont intéressés et je vous invite à jeter un oeil au jeu.

The Horned Rat Expansion

These are the models for the “Chaos in the Old World” expansion called “The Horned rat”. A total of 15 pieces in a kind of 15mm scale which makes painting hard to be honest. On top of that, it’s classic FFG plastic with lots of mould lines and it’s almost impossible to file down. Anyway, did my best on them, although the picture isn’t great, it does look good as a group I think.

Ce sont les figurines pour l’extension du jeu “chaos dans le Vieux Monde”... Le rat cornu (j’ai la flemme de chercher la traduction exacte en français). Un total de 15 pièces, toujours dans cette échelle bizarre 15 mm qui rend la peinture difficile. En plus de ça, c’est toujours du plastic à la FFG de quality assez pauvre. Bref, j’ai faits ce que j’ai pu avec, la photo n’est pas top mais le groupe dans son ensemble est pas mal à mon avis.
