Zulu bargain

“Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.”

I regularly go hunting in my local charity shops in the hope of finding the rare/precious treasure everybody else missed. More often than not, I end up finding nothing.
Today, I’m quite pleased; I have found that little fella (see pictures): 120mm high, very nicely sculpted, dreadful paintjob. I’m going to have to strip it but that shouldn’t be too difficult. Probably a bit of conversion needed as the spear is broken and there is a tiny damage on the shield. The thing cost me £3.20 which is a bargain by any standard. The only frustrating thing is that I can’t find any information about the maker, only those writings on the base: AS/A28 Copyright 1987.

Anybody’s got any idea?
