Dark Sword Frog Wizard


I finished it last week end as the deadline for the competition was this Monday. Having seen the other entries in the contest, well, no chance lol…Anyway, it was a good practice at making conversions and painting, particularly the eyes as I tried different styles fir the different creatures on the diorama. I like some of them but the ones on the frog didn’t really work out.
I could have re-worked some of it and add 3-4 hours work on it but never mind, move on to the next thing...
I still love that mini though.



Il fallait rendre sa copie ce lundi donc j’ai fini l’animal le weekend dernier. Apres avoir vu les autres participants, autant le dire de suite, j’ai aucune chance lol. Pas grave, c’était un bon exercice sur certains points : conversions et peinture des yeux, surtout les yeux car j’ai essayé différentes techniques sur les créatures du socle. Ca n’a pas trop bien fonctionné sur le crapaud ce qui est dommage, il m’aurait fallu rajouter 3-4 heures de travail dessus mais bon, temps de passer à autre chose…
La figurine me plait toujours autant ceci dit.

  6. Ah, I also have this miniature, but still unpainted! You did a terrific job with it (and very bold, especially with the choice of colours for the skin). That said, my favourite bit is the cloak! Well done!

  7. Thanks, yeah, I went for bright colors mainly because that's my style of painting and is how I see Fantasy. I'm not trying to paint realisticly.
